Last Days of Humanity
Karl Kraus

Partner: São João National Theatre

A sound-visual installation on the basis of an in loco reading of the work that took the representation of the absolute evil of war to the extreme, in a technological and discursive phantasmagoria of the theatre of war. The Austrian journalist and author Karl Kraus assembled this documental macro text during the First World War. The reading of a selection from the 209 scenes that make up this magisterial work, where humanity is the tragic hero sentenced to succumb, will be organised by the participants-visitors.
