Imaginary Places: Utopian and Transitory Places

This project is the result of a partnership between Serralves’ Educational Service and a set of schools (from pre-school to secondary education) located in the districts of Porto, Aveiro, Braga, Guimarães, Viana do Castelo and Vila Real, that aims to develop the ability of younger people to idealize and foresee the future. Preceded by a seminar in Serralves for educators and teachers, followed by work between the latter and the respective school communities and the resulting local exhibitions, the exhibition at Serralves will introduce spectators to documentation about the working processes in each school, including films, photographs, short texts and creations based on two metres of white cloth which is used to reveal the imaginary, utopian and transitory places. |
